Partnership in Academics and Development (PAD)

  The NGO Partnership in Academics and Development (PAD) is a charitable organization incorporated and registered in the United States of America in 1999 and registered in the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2000. Its purpose in Uzbekistan is to share in the development of education and training that contributes to building a strong and prosperous society. It develops it's programs in response to needs identified in the context of relationships with educators and professionals in Uzbekistan. We count it a privilege to have served the people of Uzbekistan in 2003, and hope that our programs will continue to grow in future.

  This site has been created by PAD to aid the development of Bukhara as a city and thus bring prosperity to this ancient and fascinating city. Within this site individual and mostly family owned small businesses feature their hotels, cafes, and products that are available in Bukhara itself. We at PAD are pleased to be able to lend a hand in building knowledge of this almost forgotten part of the world and hope that this site aids you in your discovery of the land and people of Central Asia.
